Dr. Ellis is a Kansas native born in Topeka and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. He graduated magna cum laude from Baker University in 1987. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas in 1991. Dr. Ellis trained in general surgery for two years and completed a residency in Otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Ellis is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and licensed by the Kansas and Missouri State Board of Healing Arts. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ellis excels in endoscopic sinus surgery. Dr. Ellis also manages varying adult and pediatric head and neck cases.
Dr. Ellis joined the practice in 1996. Dr. Ellis and his wife Jennifer have three daughters and one son. Steve is a sports fanatic, movie critic, arts lover, and deep-sea fisherman in his spare time.
